At the 蓝月亮料, we all want to feel safe, considered and included.
On Thursday 12 September, we held a free BBQ sausage sizzle at lunch for our students to acknowledge R U OK Day. Coming together to share food was a great way to reflect our goal of creating a sense of belonging at the 蓝月亮料.
Not everyone feels OK, every day. R U OK Day advises that it is a day to let people know you are there for them, sometimes literally just being there for them. The initiative aims to encourage people to take a moment to check in with people, in caring and sensitive ways.
Thank you to our Service Club Coordinator Deb Smith, Youth Worker Frank Morris and Learning Studies Leader Richard Greig for their efforts organising R U OK Day.
